In short, it seems that the "era of really neat software" has begun and the "era of truly awful software" is slowly drawing to a close. It adds some compelling evidence that we have reached a real turning point in computer-based applications. This integrated set of programs raises the standard for performance in the area of data analysis. SPSS sets itself a series of tasks, many of them daunting, and then accomplishes them neatly. ![]() The newly released version 7.5 of the SPSS statistical analysis software suite gives a strong example of how far software has progressed in the last few years.
